Thinking I was doomed to have a boring Friday night

There we were sitting around the house getting ready to just throw in a movie and eat popcorn. Then all of a sudden Ahmet says what we (Carlos and I) are thinking and he says "Let's go play pool". And in an instant Carlos and I jump up and say "Yeah, let's go". hahaha, it was great because we all started getting excited in about 2 min and we kind of get ready and put our shoes on. And right before we leave, Ahmet pulls out a quarter-full bottle of tequila and tells that we have to finish it. HA! So we thought, "Well, a few shots couldn't hurt". And we chugged down two before walking down the street to the young'ins pool hall. We ordered 2 buckets of beer during the time we were there (4 each) and just had a wonderful, carefree time playing round after round of straight pool. It was so random and fun, just what you were saying I needed. jajaja

And well, Carlos wanted to take us to a bar close by that plays Raggae music but it was dead. So stuck around long enough for a few beers more and just swaying to the music. They put on some quicker paced stuff and one of the 6 guys that was there (a tall, scrawny, matty haired, probably high gringo) pulled me out onto the dance floor and well, I was happy enough to go along. We finished the night trying to go to our favorite taco stand around the corner of the house, but for some reason Don Lalo wasn't there and we went to bed hungry but happy.

I only woke up with a very slight hangover, so all in all it was perfect. And then I went to one of my LCs in the city and did a few coaching sessions with them. Despite having to work on a Saturday it was so great to hang out with those kids. And we went out for a bite to eat afterwards. The president told me that we couldn't meet the next day which all of a sudden left door open for me to go to Hidalgo even for just a day. And so like a crazy nut in love I packed as fast as I could to take the bus out to Kike's pueblo and arrived at like 11pm on a Saturday night. It seems a little desperate and probably was because I had to be to work on Monday at 9am anyway.

That was my weekend. And I even got a chance to just chill with Kike too because when I arrived so late on Saturday night he was playing soccer and Teto and their cousin Balam and I watched them finish the game. Then everyone went to sleep and I stayed up chatting with Kike for a while when he finally said "do you feel like a beer" and so we went out into the tiny looking for any place that was open and serving beer. We found a cute pizza place, Kike order us some beers in a funny glass with chile and lime (amazingly deliciuos by the way) and we just spent the time remembering costa rica and good times and love stories.

Ahhhhh, so yes. It was a nice weekend overall and I started this week a lot better off than past weeks. I'm not going to fool myself into thinking that I'm recovered because I still have 3 very long weeks in front of me, but it's nice to feel a little more calm and in control.
