Almost there

We just got back from the Winter Strategic Conference in Spartanburg, South Carolina. I drove back with Missy, Sarah, and Izaz to Atlanta yesterday. The conference was an intense experience for me. Not only dealing with the culture shock of being back in the US and the AIESEC culture shock of how things are so crazy different in the US than in Mexico, I was insanely crazy with the MCP selection. Each candidate gave about an 8min speech. And on another night we had 2 sessions of 30min Q&A with the 200 delegates. Hella intense.

But all in all it was a great experience and I'm still recovering, reflecting on the changes I went through during this whole process and how it has already made me stronger. I'm already returning to Mexico with a new outlook on my work and how I want to finish these next few months on the MC there. I'll keep you updated on the cloudiness that is my brain.

  • I'll have to second Pinar. Gwen, you have grown so much over the past year it is almost like I am looking at an entirely different person. It was great seeing you again cramped in the back of Missy's car with all our shit!
    Have a great conference

  • Ms. Gwen,
I'm proud of you girl. Wish I could have been there. You know what's funny, some of your first posts were about how fast time is moving in Mexico and you feel like your experience is almost over, but now looking at it, your only 1/2 way done. There's still so much time left!
